A sleek, wearable airbag for cyclists is nearly here

A wearable airbag system for cyclists is being developed by Van Rysel and In&motion, integrating directly into a skinsuit. It deploys in milliseconds after detecting a crash and is currently being tested on pro riders. A general consumer release is expected within the next two years. This comes after the UCI sought gear to protect riders traveling at high speeds. The current version is in final validation for potential race deployment.
