The billing bet that killed my coding-agent harness

The author built a custom harness for running Claude Code agents, but it's no longer necessary due to Claude Code's feature growth. The billing change for headless mode agents made the harness less cost-effective. The author had to abandon the project as the features they were building were being implemented by Claude Code.
