From query to action: Introducing SQL alerting in Cloud Monitoring Observability Analytics

Cloud Monitoring now supports SQL-based alerting, allowing you to write complex analytical queries over logs and traces and turn them into alerts. This enables deep, contextual detection beyond traditional alerting systems. SQL alerting is now in preview. To use it, define an alerting policy with a schedule and a lookback window, and set a condition based on the query results. You can choose between row count threshold and boolean conditions. Note that query executions are billed through BigQuery under standard on-demand pricing or reservations.
