Building a Shared Brain for My AI Agents — and Everything That Broke Along the Way

The author created a shared memory layer called Passport to address the issue of AI agents forgetting previous conversations. This allows multiple agents to share knowledge and reduce repetition. The project focused on provenance, conflict detection, and user isolation. The author chose to build a robust MCP-only solution over a browser extension.
