Why Existing Research Tools Weren't Enough
The author of Archimedes realized existing research tools were insufficient for an end-to-end workflow, focusing on discovery rather than full assistance. This gap in functionality was a key issue for the author. As a result, Archimedes was designed as a research assistant, rather than just a search tool. This shift in focus made the project more viable. The author will discuss the first version of Archimedes in the next post.
