Copy.Fail Linux Vulnerability
A critical Linux kernel vulnerability, 'copy.fail', was disclosed on April 29, 2026, allowing local privilege escalation. This means an attacker can gain root access and read files, install backdoors, and access other systems. A custom seccomp profile is needed to block the exploit, and distros have started rolling out kernel patches. All Linux users should patch their systems as soon as possible. This vulnerability affects a wide range of Linux distributions.
