Future-proofing data integrity: Quantum-safe digital signatures in Cloud KMS

Google Cloud Key Management Service (Cloud KMS) has announced the general availability of quantum-safe digital signatures and post-quantum key encapsulation to safeguard long-term data integrity. This is crucial due to the impending threat of quantum computers that can break current encryption methods. To address this, Cloud KMS offers a suite of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) digital signature algorithms, including ML-DSA and SLH-DSA, which can be used to sign massive data payloads efficiently. Organizations should start planning their migration to quantum-safe algorithms to comply with regulatory requirements.
