MonkeyCode Under Parallel Tasks: Do the Patches Still Know Their Base Commit?
A recent experiment with MonkeyCode SaaS found that parallel agent sessions can cause consistency issues when patches don't identify their base commit. This can lead to unsafe 'apply both' scenarios. To mitigate this, tasks should be designed to represent and review dependencies between them. Silent base substitution is not acceptable. The experiment also highlights the importance of visible conflict and rerun evidence when editing the same line.
