The Third Predicate: Argument-Space Verification, Tested

The article discusses the limitations of word-space verification in IT systems. It proposes a new approach, argument-space verification, which exercises the code and observes the named side effect to catch deviations that are invisible to word-space layers. This approach is tested with five scenarios and three evaluators, and the results show that it is synonym-immune and can catch non-surfaced deviations. The article concludes that argument-space verification is a more robust approach to verification than word-space verification.
