YouTube is expanding its AI deepfake detection tool to all adult users, allowing them to monitor for potential deepfakes of themselves. The feature uses a selfie-style scan to detect lookalikes and alert users. Users can then request removal of the content. This expansion aims to help prevent the spread of misinformation. The number of removal requests has been reported as 'very small' so far.
