PlayStation’s age-gating restrictions are coming to UK consoles

PlayStation is enforcing UK age verification requirements due to the Online Safety Act. UK and Ireland PS4 and PS5 owners must verify their age by June 2026 to use voice chats, messaging, parties, and other third-party communication services. Age verification is also required for broadcasting and sharing gameplay. This affects UK and Ireland users only.
