Expanding connectivity in the Americas: Introducing Alisios, Canoa, and OlaLuz subsea cables

Google is expanding its global network infrastructure in the Americas with three new subsea cable systems: Alisios, Canoa, and OlaLuz. These cables will improve connectivity, reliability, and resilience in the region, enabling faster and more secure data transfer. The new cables will connect the Dominican Republic, Panama, Chile, Bermuda, and Florida, and will be part of the Americas Connect network. This expansion will enhance network diversity and provide a pathway for telehealth, scientific research, and other critical applications. Engineers should be aware of the new cable systems and their potential impact on network infrastructure.
