This open-source alternative to commercial cloud security posture management tools costs nothing and provides mathematical proofs. The stack consists of Steampipe for input, Stave for evaluation, and nine external engines for reasoning. This solves a problem where individual checks may miss vulnerabilities in configuration composition. The stack can be replaced piece by piece without affecting others.
