A developer created an open-source utility to bridge Bluetooth LE MIDI keyboards to Windows MIDI Services stack, enabling seamless use with DAWs and Web MIDI apps. This was necessary due to Windows' native BLE-MIDI exposure through the WinRT API, which is not polled by most DAWs. The utility uses loopback endpoints to solve the direction from piano to PC, and detects the MIDI channel on the piano to solve the direction from PC to piano. Users can download the utility for free.
